2012 Holiday Party

Sunday Evening we had our Holiday Party at the Summerhouse and everyone had a great time.  There was plenty of food and drink, as well as our gift exchange (pens, of course), pen quizzes, and contests.  Speaking of contests – this years winners for Prettiest and Ugliest pens are below, as voted on by the spouses and family members.  Francis’ Henry Simpole Overlay was a runaway winner in the Pretty Category and Basil’s Rotring Core, bested everyone in the Ugly category.  Congratulations to the winners!

Here are a few photos of our members lounging around and a group photo.  Special thanks to Morgan James, who provided professional photographic equipment and photos for us!

Please remember that there will be no January Meeting due to the Holiday Party – See you at the February Meeting on the third Friday evening!

Esterbrook Finds

Our December Meeting was highlighted by an I Pad photo presentation of some amazing Esterbrooks that Francis shot at the Columbus, Ohio show.  All photographs are courtesy of Frank Tedesco, a noted collector and friend of Francis’.  He has graciously given us his permission to show a very small part of his collection, some of which are prototypes which did not see production.   For those attending future shows, I would encourage you to seek Mr. Tedesco out for more information.  Thank you again to Frank and Francis!
